“I am born of God and the evil one (the devil) cannot touch me”

“I am born of God and the evil one (the devil) cannot touch me”

We know that no one who is born of God sins; but He who was born of God keeps him and the evil one does not touch him. (1 John 5:19)

Yes, I know this is a weighty topic to some, so right off the bat I’m going to add some more scripture.

No one who is born of God practices sin, because HIS seed abides in him; and cannot sin, because he is born of God. (1 John 3:9)

The Lord Jesus Christ abides in you and He does not sin

I am writing to you, little children, because your sins have been forgiven you for His name’s sake. I am writing to you, fathers, because you know Him (Jesus) who has been from the beginning. I am writing to you, young men, because you have overcome the evil one. I have written to you, children, because you know the Father. I have written to you, fathers, because you know Him who has been from the beginning. I have written to you, young men, because you are strong, and the word of God abides in you, and you have overcome the evil one. (1 John 2:12-14)

Jesus over came the evil one at the cross, and when He rose again he sent satan into a tizzy because the battle was over, death had lost. One might think well yes that’s true, but hes still quite the disruptive force. I may step on a toe or two here, but hes only disruptive because hes being allowed to be. As a child of God satan cant hurt you, he still whispers and tries like with Eve to get you to listen to his lies and distortions, but it really is as simple as telling him to shut up in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ.

You are from God, little children, and have overcome them; because greater is He (Jesus) that is in you than he that is in the world. (1 John 4:4)

When He had disarmed the rulers and authorities. He made a public display of them, having triumphed over them through Him (Jesus) (Colossians 2:15)

See the battle is won, we stand from a place of victory in Christ our untouchable refuge.
